The Carrions is a band consisting of old friends and three fourths of the long time LA scene shoegaze band TskTsk.
Guitarist
and main songwriter Cheryl Lyndsey, who the LA Weekly heralded as "One
of LA's Best," has been doing time for the past years as touring
guitarist for the Breeders, while both Cheryl and bassist Sean Agopian
have performed in Exene Cervenka's (of legendary LA band X) acoustic
band, debuting songs from her latest solo album. Joined by explosive
drummer Steve DeLuca and Michele Lane on keys and vox, the band has been
working on a debut album that was finished in 2012."
Their new
debut album "A New Level of Neon" was produced by Steve Kille and mixed
by Dave Schiffman (Red Hot Chilli Peppers, BRMC, Tom Petty). It's a mix
of what they themselves call "Psychedelic Love Metal" mixed with some
sweet pop elements and catchy basslines on tracks like "I Feel Alive"
and catchy 90's feels on "Sunshine Everyday".
